Royal Priesthood - From Glory to Glory

Scripture Reference:
Hebrews 10:11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool
Reading Guide for Mom and Dad:
This scripture is now back talking about the LAW. It says that these priests when they were offering in the tabernacle, had to stand. They had to offer these sacrifices continually. I think the reason they had to stand was that their work was never finished. If you have a look at the tabernacle there were only seven furnishings: the brazen altar, the bronze laver, the table of showbread, the candlestick, the altar of incense, and the mercy seat. But there are no chairs for the priest to sit on. The priest has to stand all the time.
ONE SACRIFICE FOR SINS FOR EVER and then He SAT DOWN. So if Jesus sat down, where did He sit down? He sat down at the right hand of God. If you have a look at the tabernacle there's only one place He could sit - if He went into the heavenly tabernacle: the mercy seat. So Jesus sat down on the Mercy seat.
Romans 3:25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God has passed over the sins that were previously committed,
The word Propitiation means: The mercy seat
In the Amplified Bible this verse reads: Whom God put forward(before the eyes of all) as a mercy seat and propitiation by His blood.
Jesus IS the Mercy seat. His blood is not just sprinkled on the mercy seat. His blood won't be washed off the Mercy seat. He IS the Mercy seat forever and ever.
We can now come through the veil, which is the FLESH, into the Holy of Holies where He is. Seated at the right hand of God on the Mercy seat. The veil has been opened up. The entrance is opened up, we have access to this Grace and Mercy of God.

Teach them to Rule and Multiply
Step 1: print out the Mercy Seat pdf for each child here:
Step 2: Let them cut out the Ark on the dotted lines, the smaller children may need your help with some of the detail.
The learning process is more important than the end result. Children learn while they play and by experiencing their world. It isn't about what the finished craft project looks like. It is more about talking with them while they are making sense of the subject. Get yourself a cup of tea and enjoy this with them! Have some fun! (Embrace the mess)
Step 3: Fold along the thicker fold lines.
Step 4: They can use paint, glitter pens or crayons to decorate the Ark of the Covenant and Mercy Seat.
Step 5: Glue the flaps together (the part between the dotted line and the thicker black lines)
Step 6: Use pipe cleaners or matches for the poles of the Ark. Glue one "pole" on each side of the Ark of the Covenant.

Kettle Prayer Suggestion:
Lord reveal Your Truth in us. Show my children Your Mercy revealed in the finished work of the Cross. Please give us Your Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding. Thank you Holy Spirit for leading us in Your Way.
Amen
